We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within Milton Keynes Council. This is a critical role in safeguarding children and ensuring timely, effective interventions. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for initial assessments and decision-making in response to safeguarding concerns.

Location: Milton Keynes Council - Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (Civic, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes)

Key Responsibilities
  • Frontline Safeguarding: Act as the first point of contact for referrals, ensuring swift and accurate assessment of risk and need.
  • Information Gathering: Work collaboratively with partner agencies (police, health, education) to collect and analyse information for decision-making.
  • Threshold Decisions: Apply statutory guidance and local thresholds to determine appropriate next steps, including signposting, early help, or statutory intervention.
  • Case Recording: Maintain accurate, timely records in line with Milton Keynes Council's practice model and values.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Attend strategy discussions and contribute to safeguarding plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to legislation, policies, and best practice standards.
Skills
  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience in MASH, duty, or assessment teams.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and partnership working abilities.
  • Commitment to embedding Milton Keynes' practice model and values.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (essential).
