Opus People Solutions on behalf of Milton Keynes City Council is currently seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children in Care team.

This is a dynamic role involving a mix of court work and child protection, where you will play a key part in safeguarding children and supporting positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload involving Child Protection and Children in Care (LAC)
  • Undertaking court work, including Public Law Outline (PLO) processes
  • Preparing and presenting court statements and reports
  • Participating in a duty rota
  • Conducting Child Protection (CP) and LAC visits

Working Arrangements

  • Based at Civic Offices, Milton Keynes
  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 1 day working from home (subject to service needs)
  • 37 hours per week

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Worker England's registration
  • Strong experience in court work and child protection
  • Experience within a Children in Care setting
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload effectively
