We are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join a busy and supportive finance team, where you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build on their existing finance experience while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
- Supporting month-end and period-end procedures
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances
- Allocating customer receipts accurately
- Setting up payments through online banking systems
- Calculating settlement figures
- Assisting with audit requirements and compliance activities
- Supporting weekly and monthly reporting requirements
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team
What We're Looking For
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards completion
- Strong Excel skills, including Lookups and Sumifs
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational abilities
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
