ICT Service Desk Assistant Hourly rate: £12.85 Working hours: Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm covered on a rota basis Location: Darby House, Lawn Central, Telford, TF2 4JA This is an inital 3 month contract, working from home with the occasional team office day. Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Telford and Wrekin Council for a Service Desk Assistant to provide customer focused reliable, flexible operational first point of contact IDT support to all Telford & Wrekin staff, Schools and Councillors. Key Responsibilities: Provide prompt response to telephone, intranet and email requests; highlighting operational problems to relevant support staff Responding in line with IDT Service Level Agreements to all requests raised with the service desk Provide initial help and guidance to users Enter all requests correctly into the Service Management system and escalate to other support teams as necessary. To maintain IDT assets in desktop hardware and software in order to ensure secure user network access for email, file and print, desktop applications, system client installations and telephone connectivity Installation of basic software to client access equipment using a variety of tools i.e. Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager.
