Housing Development and Acquisitions Officer
Location: North Northamptonshire
Rate: Β£25 per hour (Umbrella, flexible)
Contract Type: 6 Months (potential extension)
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with planners, legal services, housing associations, developers, and other key stakeholders to deliver a range of affordable housing solutions. From identifying development opportunities to managing new build projects and acquiring properties, your work will directly support the regeneration and growth of our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of affordable housing through new builds, Section 106 agreements, and open market purchases.
- Assist in managing council housing projects from inception to completion and beyond.
- Contribute to estate regeneration and the redevelopment of council housing.
- Identify and assess potential development sites and proposals.
- Undertake financial viability assessments and feasibility studies.
- Work with partners to secure funding and ensure compliance with design and energy standards.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders to ensure developments meet local needs.
- Assist in the acquisition and disposal of properties for both permanent and temporary accommodation.
- Support the development of key housing strategies and policies.
