Main Purpose of Job: Manage the Environmental Protection Team: Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Council policies and procedures, and develop the service according to Council standards.

Deliver Statutory Functions: Ensure effective delivery of key functions such as:

  • Investigating statutory nuisances
  • Regulating pollution control from industrial premises
  • Enforcing the Clean Air Act
  • Regulating private water supplies
  • Conducting local authority air quality work
  • Managing contaminated land issues
  • Acting as a consultee for licensing and planning departments

Provide High-Quality Service: Create a high-performing, customer-focused, and cost-effective service through effective team and partnership management.

Execute Duties Efficiently: Perform duties with professional competence as a qualified Environmental Health Officer (EHRB registered).

Contract Details:

  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
  • Rate: Around £60 per hour Umbrella.
  • Contract Duration: 3-4 months.
  • Start Date: Around the 14th of April.
