Are you passionate about facilities management, teamwork and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Facilities Management Assistant to join our Facilities Team.
About the Role
Based at Hunloke Park Primary School, S42 6PT, this role focuses mainly on cleaning and hygiene duties, alongside some light maintenance and compliance responsibilities. You will work split shifts, 06:00 to 09:00 and 15:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, 42 weeks per year, paid at £12.61 per hour. You will play a key role in ensuring the school site remains clean, safe, compliant and well maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out daily cleaning duties across the school site, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Supporting the safe and secure operation of the building
- Undertaking light maintenance tasks such as small painting jobs, minor repairs and putting up bulletin boards and displays
- Completing basic facilities compliance duties including fire alarm tests, water temperature checks and legionella testing
- Setting up rooms and areas as required
- Carrying out basic health and safety checks and reporting issues appropriately
- Monitoring site supplies and maintaining cleaning equipment
- Demonstrating health and safety awareness and a willingness to attend training courses, all training will be provided
