About the Role:
Based in Chelmsford, CM1 2QU, you will be working Monday to Friday, 07:00am to 15:00pm, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the site to a high standard that meets our standards and delights our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing waste on site, including chemical waste, full training provided
- General cleaning and caretaking duties across the site
- Setting up meeting rooms and supporting office moves
- Basic painting and decorating duties
- Operating a forklift occasionally, licence and full training provided
- Monitoring site standards and reporting defects or issues
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety and cleanliness are maintained
Who are we looking for?
- Previous caretaking, facilities or maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Enhanced DBS check is required – if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
- Great communication skills and experience in a similar setting
- A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group
- The ability to make the best decisions with Vertas in mind
- The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
