Are you passionate about caretaking, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Mobile Caretaker to join our Facilities Team.

About the Role

Based around the Buxton area you will be working 18.5 hours a week, split shifts from Monday to Friday, anywhere between 7am-7pm. You’ll play a key role in providing high-quality caretaking services to oversee maintenance and cleanliness. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
  • Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
  • Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
  • Demonstrating Health and Safety awareness and have a willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety (all training will be provided).
  • Cleaning will be required as deep cleans will need to be undertaken during office closed hours.
  • Experience with use of cleaning machines from carpet cleaners, hard floor cleaners, high reached dusting equipment.
  • PAT Testing experience would also be desirable in this role as undertaken throughout the whole building.
  • Basic maintenance knowledge helpful for this role, including painting, repairs, putting up notice boards, etc.
