Are you passionate about food, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our Educational Catering team.

About the Role:

Based at Saputo Nuneaton, Bermuda Park, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV107RG, you will be working 12 hours a week on Friday and Saturday night from 8pm - 2am. You’ll play a key role in preparing and serving high-quality food that meets our standards and delights our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Food preparation in a canteen setting.
  • Cooking and service: managing your station and delivering food on time.
  • Safety and hygiene: following best practices with equipment, utensils, and food storage.
  • Stock management: keeping ingredients fresh and reordering stock when supplies run low.
  • Teamwork: collaborating with the culinary team to maintain quality and service throughout the shift.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven chef experience, ideally in contract catering.
  • Knowledge of cooking methods and processes, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
