Locum Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care
Location: Flexible / Hybrid (Local Authority based)
Rate: £30–£50 per hour
Contract: Locum (Full-time, part-time considered)
We are currently working with a forward-thinking Local Authority to appoint an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to support their Adult Social Care service during a period of increased demand. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-structured team focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred interventions that enable individuals to live independently and safely within their communities.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions across a varied caseload. This includes supporting adults with complex needs, implementing care plans, and working collaboratively with wider multi-disciplinary teams. You will play a key role in promoting independence, reducing risk, and ensuring appropriate provision of equipment and adaptations in line with legislative frameworks.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, housing teams, and health colleagues
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Experience working within Adult Social Care in a local authority setting
- Experience working with Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs)
- Knowledge of housing adaptations and major works
- Previous experience in community-based roles
