Administration Assistant Company: Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, Telford and Wrekin Council. Location: The Quad, Ironmasters Way, Town Centre, Telford, TF3 4NT Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with 30 minutes unpaid break. Working basis: Onsite 2 days per week and working from home 3 days per week. Wednesday's are consistent days onsite. Rate of Pay: £13.26 per hour PAYE / £17.58 per hour Umbrella. Length of Assignment: Temporary basis, until March 2025 with potential to extend. About the Role: Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, Telford and Wrekin Council. We are seeking for an Administrative Assistant to work on a temporary basis to support Telford and Wrekin – Invest Telford Team. The post holder will provide high level administrative and technical support to the Council's Invest Telford Team in support of a number of funded business support programmes and activities. This will involve direct support for the team's interactions with local businesses by collating and recording relevant documents and data as part of maintaining an audit trail to report back to Government. The role will also support the wider administrative functions of the Service Delivery Unit. Key Responsibilities: Use creativity and confidence to ensure the effective day to day running of a busy administrative function, working at times on own initiative as well as part of a team and in liaison with project support functions. Have daily contact with the Team Leader Invest Telford as line manager in respect of daily activities and to make and receive recommendations regarding their work. Regularly liaise with the Project Officers to coordinate delivery of administrative functions across the Team and on occasion the Service Delivery Unit. Liaise with Senior Officers, Members, local businesses, partner agencies and Parishes as part of their duties, ensuring that enquiries and complaints are recorded and responded to by appropriate office. Frequent contact with members of the public either by telephone or in person to resolve enquiries and complaints. Regularly contact with external Businesses to request evidential documentation of grant fund allocation. Essential Experience: Local to the Telford Office and commitment to work onsite 2 days a week. Holding a UK Driving Licence is beneficial, not essential. Previous experience in administration, with excellent time management and organisational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Application packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Presentation. Excellent communication skills with confidence to liaise with external Businesses and internal members of the Invest Telford Team and the Service Delivery Unit
