To be responsible for driving continual improvement in health , safety , quality and environmental practices across our sites and depots whilst developing best practice as part of our zero accident, incident and defect strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of SHEQ policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to ensure compliance with health , safety , environmental and quality standards.
  • Provide SHEQ guidance and training to employees and sub-contractors
  • Investigate accidents , incidents and near misses ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislations, industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate SHEQ records and produce reports for senior management
  • Liase with regulatory bodies, clients and stakeholders regarding SHEQ matters
  • Assist in audits and inspections ensuring all findings are addressed effectively.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and awareness initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Multi Utility background Electric/Gas/Water essential
  • Auditing experience
  • Understanding of and commitment to the company values.
  • Knowledge of ISO management systems.
  • A NEBOSH general certificate is preferred.
  • A full driving license
