Reporting into Regional Contracts Director
About the role
- Lead and manage the Operational Business Unit for multiple clients (ENW/ SPEN/ Power On) β Expected T/O Β£20m
- Work in close co-operation with all Clients to deliver the individual Contract & Framework objectives.
- Meet the business goals on Safety, Compliance, Customer Service, Environmental & Commercially on profitability, by maximising outputs & controlling costs in the delivery capacity.
- Use resources to their optimum across contract to create maximum efficiency.
- Work with Other Opus Business Unit Leads to maximise continuity on programmes β cross flexing resource to meet the needs of the programme.
Responsibilities
- Actively promote and enforce the company safety culture and standards close collaboration with H&S Manager.
- To have full understanding of workload/projects/ Contracts
- To develop our client base in this business unit and promote the opportunity Opus can give these clients to increase workload/ contracts
- Manage Team of experienced project managers β set targets, hold to account, and review periodically to ensure they remain on track for week, month, year goals are achieved.
- Ensure sufficient resources to programmes.
- Manage and monitor projects and teams ensuring key milestones achieved.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Drive daily performance. Ensure we have & maintain short interval control to keep outputs up.
- Client liaison and management. Working with your Director to maximise the relationship & build for future.
- Maintain records and ensure that they are on the WMS β maximising usage of this. Aurora.
- Report on progress & performance weekly.
- Supporting all functions of the business to work together effectively.
- Employ a Right First-Time approach β Quality improvements & reduced cost.
- Communicate changes to relevant parties.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post.
- Communicate with other depts i.e. Planning β to ensure we have a smooth cradle to grave delivery.
- Ensuring that fleet operational capabilities are aligned to business requirements and enable us to respond with agility to client expectations and opportunities.
- Be a good decision maker allowing work to continue / progress without hold ups.
Leadership
- Provide effective, positive, and trusted leadership to the business Unit.
- Empower and motivate your teams to perform at their best by setting, directing and effectively communicating the vision for Opus.
- Leading by example in acting with integrity and upholding the highest professional standards of quality, performance, and productivity.
- Oversee and maintain adequate succession and contingency plans for key leadership positions within your teams.
- Work collaboratively with all departments internally.
- Responsible for the development of your direct reports.
- Deliver stand downs, Toolbox talks to entire workforce β delivering key business messages
