Meet the business goals on Safety, Compliance, Customer Service, Environmental & Commercially on profitability, by maximising outputs & controlling costs in the delivery capacity. Use resources to their optimum across contract to create maximum efficiency. Work with Other Opus PM’s to maximise continuity on programmes – cross flexing resource to meet the needs of the programme.
Responsibilities
- Actively promote and enforce the company safety culture and standards in close collaboration with SHEA Advisors.
- Have full understanding of workload/projects under responsibility.
- Manage a team of experienced operatives – set targets, hold to account, and review periodically to ensure they remain on track for week, month, year goals are achieved.
- Ensure sufficient resources to programmes – Planned & Reactive works.
- Manage and monitor projects and teams ensuring key milestones are achieved.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Drive daily performance.
- Maintain short interval control to keep outputs up.
- Client liaison and management.
- Work with the Operations Manager to maximise the relationship & build for future.
- Maintain records and ensure that they are on the WMS – maximising usage of this.
- Report on progress & performance weekly in programme & comm cell meetings.
- Collaborate all functions of the business to work together effectively.
- Employ a Right First-Time approach – Quality improvements & reduced cost.
- Communicate changes to relevant parties.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post.
- Communicate with other departments, i.e. Planning – to ensure we have a smooth cradle to grave delivery.
- Maximise internal trading with ORS, OTM.
- Ensure that fleet operational capabilities are aligned to business requirements and enable us to respond with agility to client expectations and opportunities.
- Be a good decision maker allowing work to continue/progress without hold ups.
- Monitor and manage site materials, equipment, and plant resources to ensure they are available as required.
- Complete project documentation for record-keeping and future reference.
- Ensure the early warning process is followed if works differ from the agreed work instruction.
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to management and stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and issues in the project, and devise contingency plans.

- Oversee all delivery scope for the project, including monitoring project budget, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Engage in communication across all sectors of delivery.
