We are currently recruiting for an established firm of Chartered Surveyors operating throughout the north of England and the Midlands. They have been providing honest and practical commercial property advice since 2001. Clients range from entrepreneurial start-up businesses and SMEs to the UK leading banks and pension funds. They are a multidisciplinary practice offering services such as Commercial Agency, Property Acquisition and Valuations and Surveys.
They are currently seeking Rating Surveyors to deliver high quality, RICS compliant commercial property valuations for a range of institutional clients with a primary focus on UK National Banks and Pension Funds. The role will support the continued growth of the valuation team by providing accurate, timely and robust valuation advice across the commercial property sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce Red Book compliant commercial valuations for secured lending.
- Prepare quarterly and annual valuation reports for pension fund clients.
- Inspect commercial properties and gather rental, sales and investment evidence.
- Analyse market data and performance indicators to support valuation conclusions.
- Assist with rating valuation work, including inspections, evidence gathering, assessments and support with appeal preparation.
- Ensure compliance with RICS standards and internal QA procedures.
- Liaise with lenders, pension fund managers and internal stakeholders.
- Support senior surveyors on more complex valuation instructions.
- MRICS with 12 years PQE in commercial valuation.
- Demonstrated experience delivering RICS compliant valuation reports.
- Strong analytical and written reporting skills.
- Good knowledge of the commercial property markets and valuation methodologies.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to undertake rating valuation work alongside commercial valuation duties.
- Experience in business rates assessments or appeals.
- Experience working with major UK banks or institutional clients.
- Familiarity with Argus Enterprise or similar valuation/DCF modelling tools.
