Opus Care Group is looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our Children’s Residential Offer. About the Role You will be responsible for the operational management of a Children’s Home, ensuring that every young person receives outstanding care and support in all aspects of daily life — from education and personal development to emotional well-being and cultural enrichment. This is a unique opportunity to shape a service that is truly child-centred, safe, compliant with statutory frameworks, and driven by best practices. You will work within the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, ensuring we meet or exceed all inspection criteria. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and review the delivery of high-quality residential care provision. Act as the designated Safeguarding Lead, promoting a culture of safety and well-being. Ensure staff are well-supported, trained, and understand their roles and responsibilities. Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards, responding proactively to inspection requirements. Provide assurance on service quality through audits, performance monitoring, and reports. Manage budgets effectively and ensure optimal use of resources. Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development of staff. Promote the voice of the child and their involvement in home life and decision-making. Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota. Qualifications and Experience A recognised qualification in Social Work and registration with Social Work England. NVQ Level 5 in Childcare or equivalent. Level 5 Management qualification. Extensive knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations and inspection frameworks. Proven experience in leading and developing residential children’s services. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
