Based in either our London or Milton Keynes office, we are looking to expand and grow our small, but perfectly formed Creditor Services team. The team itself sits within the wider firm, which focuses on both corporate and personal insolvency. The Creditor Services team deals with personal insolvencies, administrations, receiverships, liquidations, bankruptcies, and proceeds of crime appointments and restructuring/inso l vency advice.

The main drive of this role is to identify, interpret and secure potential insolvency appointments for the firm.

This role offers someone the chance to kick start their career in an exciting sector, where quite literally no two days are the same. No previous experience in insolvency is required, but an appetite to learn and take onboard new knowledge and technical language would be a huge advantage. A large proportion of this role will be spent on the phone; both internally and externally, so it is important that you are a confident communicator who enjoys speaking to a broad range of people. An eye for detail and a willingness to ask inquisitive questions would also help to make you a success in this role. This role sits within a team, so you should be a good team player, who is willing to roll up their sleeves when required. Therefore, a positive, flexible, can-do attitude is what makes you stand out from other applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the portfolio of potential leads and adhere to client reporting requirements.
  • Populate and manage key databases ensuring they are kept accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide feedback on the progress of the assignment to manager/partner and keep all other staff involved fully informed of relevant developments.
  • Respond to manager/partner in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Assist in providing Creditor Services updates and tailor where appropriate.
  • Liaise with other insolvency practitioners and government departments as necessary to encourage the smooth transition from initial case interest to appointment.
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Develop an understanding of a broad range of insolvency proceedings.
  • Be aware of recent developments in insolvency legislation and guidance from regulators.
