About Us

Opus Business Advisory Group is a leading provider of insolvency and restructuring services. We specialise in offering comprehensive solutions to individuals and businesses across various sectors, including voluntary liquidations, company restructuring, and more. We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our small but perfectly formed Investigations and Contentious Insolvency (ICI) team.

Role Overview

To assist the team with a range of assignments involving dealing with insolvent companies and individuals, to include assets realisation, creditors' correspondence, investigation and ancillary tasks. It is likely that the successful candidate will come with either a legal or accountancy background, gained either in practice or via formal education. However, we would welcome applications from all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities / Experience to be gained:

  • Maintain accurate data using a case management system
  • Reviewing and analysing company records
  • Complete application forms and carry out searches via Government portals (HMLR, Companies House etc)
  • Monitor personal performance in relation to time recording
  • Meet specific (statutory) deadlines
  • Communicate (both written and verbally) across all levels of the business, both upwards and downwards

Overall, we aim to help you to develop commercial acumen, against a backdrop of legal and financial requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone to start and grow a career in contentious insolvency!

Key requirements:

  • IT Proficiency: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Communication and Organisation skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and balance multiple deadlines
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality will be required
  • Excellent team player, but equally comfortable to work on tasks independently
