Overview

We are looking for an Evidence Presentation (EPE) Officer to join our vibrant company working alongside legal teams in the hearing room on a range of litigation and arbitration which is making use of the Opus 2 platform. Our secure platform is a cloud-based document management tool which has made paperless trials a reality and is revolutionising the way in which lawyers access, share and manage their documents in the trial preparation phase and beyond.

This client facing position, reporting to the Technical Services Manager, requires someone who is focused, confident and computer literate and can demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and composed approach.

Responsibilities

  • Display of evidence to screens in the hearing room including the manipulation of images to ensure optimum display and the presentation of native files using a variety of software;
  • Acting as the first point of contact in the hearing room, providing technical support to judges, arbitrators, witnesses, solicitors and barristers;
  • Daily ‘flight check’ of all Opus 2 equipment in hearing room liaising accordingly with the Projects, Client Services and Technical teams in the office; and
  • Delivering training to judges and arbitrators on an ad hoc basis.

Person Specification

  • Bright and engaging, with a willingness to learn and use initiative;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle tasks and work under pressure;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel) and Adobe Acrobat; and
  • Flexible attitude to meet the needs of the business and our clients, with a willingness to travel.

Desirable

  • Legal or computer science degree (useful but not essential);
  • Interest in technology, processes and systems; or
  • Experience with litigation support software or document management systems.
