Opulent Mind is a high value executive search and strategic intelligence firm. We work with CEOs, boards and investors across software, SaaS, fintech and data-led businesses. As our client work grows, we are hiring a Research Consultant to help deliver it.
From week one you will be working on board-level mandates from mapping markets, profiling companies and leaders, scanning signals, interviewing senior operators, and building the intelligence that shapes how major businesses execute their strategy. You will work alongside the founder and our research lead, supported by a full suite of AI agents you will learn to drive.
What you’ll actually do:- Build and enrich target lists — competitors, partners, investors and talent — using LinkedIn, AI tools and our research stack.
- Research companies and people: who they are, what they’re building, how they sell, where the signals point.
- Interview senior operators and prepare the senior team for conversations with CEOs, founders, investors and M&A teams — then help capture and synthesise what comes back.
- Run AI-assisted desk research and turn it into clean, structured, decision-ready outputs.
- Track market signals (news, funding, M&A, leadership moves) and flag what matters.
- Keep the CRM and intelligence pipeline immaculate — you’re the backbone of a fast-moving operation.
- A genuine self-starter where you take an ambiguous brief and run with it.
- Curious about business, consulting, strategy, markets and AI.
- Already comfortable with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, agents) — or obsessed enough to master them fast.
- Sharp, accurate and organised where you sweat the detail and hit deadlines.
- A strong communicator who can make complex things clear and concise.
- Show initiative and creative thinking, your ideas are welcome!
