Role overview
This is a senior Programme Manager role with full ownership of complex technology and business change delivery. You will oversee multiple workstreams spanning engineering, product, and operations, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with regulatory expectations. The role requires someone who can bring structure and control while maintaining delivery pace across both legacy and modern systems.
Key responsibilities
- Lead large scale technology and change programmes from initiation through to delivery and adoption
- Define programme structure, governance frameworks, timelines, and reporting standards
- Coordinate cross functional teams including engineering, product, risk, compliance, and third parties
- Manage programme budgets, resource allocation, and delivery risk
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks
- Drive stakeholder engagement across senior leadership, including board level reporting where required
- Identify programme dependencies and resolve delivery conflicts across workstreams
- Establish clear milestones, accountability, and measurable delivery outcomes
Required skills and experience
- 8+ years of programme or senior project management experience within financial services or fintech
- Proven track record delivering complex technology programmes within banking, lending, or regulated environments
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams across engineering and business functions
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements
- Confident stakeholder manager with experience engaging senior executives
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance delivery, cost, and risk
- Experience operating within environments involving legacy system transformation
Desirable experience
- Exposure to core banking systems, lending platforms, or savings products
- Experience delivering cloud migration or platform modernisation programmes
