Are you a seasoned Network Engineer seeking your next role, working on a high-impact transformation programme? Join us as we migrate a major legacy data centre—comprising 93 individual services—to a modern, scalable cloud platform on AWS by the end of 2025. You’ll play a key role in designing, securing, and optimising the network landscape to support this cloud migration. This is a high-profile project, and your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless, secure transition.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for ensuring robust, secure, and scalable network operations throughout the migration of services from our on-premise data centre to AWS. You’ll collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to deliver reliable connectivity and protection across hybrid environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the migration and re-architecture of on-premise network infrastructure to the cloud
- Designing and maintaining secure, high-performing network configurations using Juniper and Cisco technologies
- Managing load balancing and traffic optimisation to ensure service continuity and performance
- Implementing and maintaining DNS, firewall, IPS/IDS, and DDoS solutions within a hybrid infrastructure
- Supporting the deployment of Software Defined Networking (SDN), with a preference for VMware NSX
- Automating network provisioning and policy management using Infrastructure as Code principles
- Producing high-quality documentation and effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Who You’ll Be
You’ll be an experienced Network Engineer with a track record of supporting enterprise-scale hosted environments and cloud migrations. You’ll be confident working across complex hybrid infrastructures and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. We’re looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently when needed.
Essential skills and experience:
- Expert in enterprise WAN, LAN, and WLAN, with Juniper and Cisco stacks
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS and Azure)
- Strong understanding of firewalls, load balancers, IPS/IDS, and DDoS protection
- Hands-on experience with SDN technologies (NSX experience a plus)
- Skilled in DNS management and network automation practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication
