Here at Optum UK, we are excited to share that we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People Team on a permanent basis. We are a high performing People function and on a journey of growth and change. This is a role that will provide you with the opportunity to work collaboratively with teams across our People function, driving policy changes, leaning into our culture and engagement strategy as well as partner with the business driving our strategic priorities.
We are a geographically diverse company, however, there will be an expectation for you to be on-site in our Leeds office once a week.
What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for aligning our people's strategy to business objectives, enabling our leaders to drive high-performing teams. You will build trusted and credible relationships with your stakeholders, providing pragmatic, data-driven and forward-looking people solutions.
- Take the lead on aspects of change and transformation programmes e.g., culture and engagement
- Collaborate with leaders on performance management, Talent planning, capability building and driving team effectiveness
- Work closely with Reward, ER, Talent and Comms to ensure consistent approach to our People strategy
- Partner with leaders to ensure that our business strategy translates to a clear people plan
Who You’ll Be
You will be expected to quickly establish trusted relationships with individuals at all levels, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and a pragmatic approach to open communication. In addition, you should possess solid business and commercial acumen, as well as experience applying a data-driven approach to influence change for the benefit of both people and the business.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in complex environments, with proven ability to manage competing demands and priorities.
- Proven experience of leading on elements of the full HR lifecycle, such as organisational design, workforce planning, employee relations, restructuring, and TUPE.
- A track record of managing change and transformation projects beyond business as usual.
- CIPD qualification is advantageous.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset is essential.
