As a Technology Lawyer you will be negotiating Master Service Agreements with customers and partners as well as other complex contractual arrangements supporting the provision of a diverse range of products and services. Working alongside the Legal team you will have the opportunity to collaborate with numerous stakeholders and support the drafting of technology-related contracts. Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours of Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. There is a requirement to be flexible; occasional after-work hours may be required to support operational needs due to global stakeholders. Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the United Kingdom will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our London office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Negotiating and drafting Master Services Agreements and Global Framework Agreements with Customers and Partners as well as other complex contractual arrangements supporting the provision of a diverse range of products and services;
- Advising on public sector tenders and RFP responses;
- Support drafting, negotiation, and review of technology-related contracts, including software licensing agreements, technology development agreements, and SaaS agreements;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product managers, developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation in technology transactions and product launches;
- Strong understanding of intellectual property laws, data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act and EU Digital Services Act), and relevant technology-related regulations;
- Supporting other Legal Team members with large complex commercial contracts.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in the relevant subject;
- Legally qualified UK Solicitor/Lawyer or Common Law qualified lawyer with current Practicing Certificate;
- Proven post qualification experience supporting technology transactions within a law firm or in-house corporation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Procurement Act.
