As a Health Promotion Specialist, you will be the face of Workplace Wellbeing to the client and their employees. Your ability to motivate and engage members in their health journey is crucial. You will help build and enhance their well-being culture, deliver engaging health promotion activities, and increase employee health ownership. This role offers impactful work and career growth opportunities within an industry leader.
Working Schedule
This is a full-time position with standard hours Monday to Friday. You must be able to commute to our client site in Bracknell, with possible travel to Bulgaria once or twice a year. Optum offers flexible work arrangements. Individuals in the Republic of Ireland may split their work hours between the Bracknell site and remote work from home in a hybrid model.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess population health needs using audit tools, employee feedback, and client input to develop well-being solutions.
- Develop and deliver health interventions and activities to promote well-being.
- Collaborate with the client, vendors, and community resources to execute workplace well-being strategies.
- Familiarize with and connect employees to products, programs, and services for optimal health actions.
- Build and expand the network of Wellness Champions across locations and departments.
- Coordinate marketing and communication efforts to promote healthy behaviors and healthcare engagement.
- Report on engagement metrics, initiatives, and outcomes to demonstrate improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health promotion, health education, public health, or related field.
- Proven experience in health promotion, health management, HR, or related areas.
- Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong technical and regulatory knowledge.
- Effective public speaking and professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with health plans is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a health-related field.
- Health Promotion certification.
- Industry experience.
