In this vital role, you will work across West Sussex and Brighton & Hove, providing independent safeguarding for individuals deprived of their liberty without family or friends to represent them. Acting within the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), you will represent the person\’s views to decision-makers, liaising with external partners and stakeholders at various levels.

Putting people at the heart of your work, you will engage with individuals from diverse communities. Effective communication, both verbal and non-verbal, tailored to each individual, is essential for success.

Experience in this area or relevant qualifications are not mandatory, as training will be provided and you will work towards a qualification once in post. We seek creative, flexible, and organized individuals capable of balancing direct client work with administrative tasks and producing professional reports in English.

Ideally based in West Sussex, this role is home-based with regular travel across West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, and surrounding areas.

You must have access to reliable home broadband, good mobile signal, a full driving licence, personal transport, and flexibility with working hours.
