Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the EU TAC Manager, this position is responsible for the health of the Reaction Analysis (RA) business in Europe. The focus of the role is to support the (bio)pharmaceutical and high-value chemical markets with advanced applications, products, technical knowledge, and to drive market development. The position requires strategic thinking and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams such as account managers, the RA marketing group, Regional Sales Managers, and our Software Teams. As a recognized expert on the application of the RA products (ReactIR, ReactRaman, DirectInject-LC, and software) and basic knowledge of other AutoChem products, you will establish strong peer-based relationships with scientists and engineers in the field, while ensuring sustainable growth of the Reaction Analysis business in your territories. You will provide consultative technical support for the Reaction Analysis product line during the sales process, including pre- and post-sales visits, onsite seminars, and application feasibility tests with data reporting.
- Post-sale support of existing customers with high-level product training and application support to ensure customer success.
- Identify and develop application solutions that add high value to the pharmaceutical and high-value chemical markets.
- Cross-sell all AutoChem products aligned with strategic value stories.
- Transfer knowledge and data from application feasibility studies, industrial, academic applications, and technical journals to product management for development.
What You Need to Succeed
- BS in Chemistry; MSc or PhD preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% across Europe.
- 1-3 years of industry experience (organic chemist, chemical engineer, spectroscopist, or process development chemist).
- Familiarity with In-Situ Analytics technologies (IR, Raman, NIR preferred).
- Strong communication skills, effective public presentation, and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Experience in equipment sales or commercial settings is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team and manage individual projects with minimal supervision.
- Analytical, creative, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
