Job Summary
Senior Assistant Psychologist (2‑year fixed term) based at Dartmouth House, Handsworth Wood, Birmingham.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and formulate care plans for adults with complex mental health difficulties.
- Deliver low‑intensity psychological interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Manage risk and problem behaviours, plan and coordinate therapeutic groups.
- Attend multi‑disciplinary meetings and support service‑user clinical care.
- Carry out clinical administration, audits, data collection, statistics and reporting.
- Support the development, delivery and evaluation of staff training initiatives.
- Engage in research and service evaluation projects and co‑facilitate training and education sessions.
Qualifications
- UK Psychology degree (or equivalent) with a minimum 2:1 honours recognised by the British Psychological Society.
- Minimum 12 months experience working with individuals with mental health challenges and/or learning disabilities, and/or physical health and cognitive impairments.
- Experience in delivering psychological interventions within a mental health setting (preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
