An exciting opportunity to join our Legal Team in a growing technology company. The Legal & Commercial team is at the coal-face of balancing risk and reward with customers, suppliers and regulators. Our key functions are to support sales growth, manage supplier risk, and advise the firm on regulatory compliance.
- Reviewing incoming legal and commercial queries and provide first-line guidance, escalating complex matters as needed.
- Drafting, amending, and managing contracts and legal documentation including NDAs, master service agreements, and supplier contracts.
- Negotiating a subset of commercial contracts with financial customers and industry suppliers, including NDAs, service orders and supplier contracts.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, including document retention and GDPR/data privacy regulations.
- Maintaining the contracts database and document filing, ensuring consistency in file naming, version control, and access.
- Assisting with contract lifecycle management, including renewals, variations, and termination tracking.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments impacting financial services and providing proactive guidance to the business.
Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field (Legal qualification preferred). Minimum of 3 years experience in a legal, contract management, or legal administration role. Experience with commercial contract negotiation and drafting. Strong knowledge of commercial and financial contracts, legal terminology, and regulatory frameworks relevant to financial services. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a high-performance environment.
