We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrician to work across a South East public sector contract. This is a mobile role mainly covering the Staines area, with additional sites in the surrounding South East region. There is no requirement to work in London. A company van will be provided.
Role Overview
As a Mobile Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of sites. You will ensure all works are completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard, supporting the smooth operation of essential facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of electrical systems
- Testing and inspection of electrical installations
- Ensure all works comply with current regulations and health & safety standards
- Complete accurate documentation and reports
- Liaise professionally with site staff and management
Working Hours & Package
- Salary: £41,000 - £44,000 per annum
- Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour break)
- Vehicle: Fully equipped company van provided
- Location: Mobile role mainly covering Staines and the surrounding South East (no London travel)
Essential Requirements
- Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or public sector buildings
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
Desirable
- Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent)
- Experience working on large estates or multi-site contracts
