Salary:

£49,000 – £51,000 per annum

Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive

Capacity Engineer (Foot Mobile)

to support multiple commercial sites in London. This is a hands-on role focused on technical support, finishing jobs, small works, shutdowns, plant replacement programmes, and providing cover during staff absences.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience working across a variety of building types and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out

planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

on mechanical and electrical plant and equipment in line with site schedules and asset lists.

Respond promptly to

reactive maintenance tasks , including mechanical, electrical, fabric, and concessionary store issues.

Supervise and monitor

subcontractor works

to ensure safe and compliant delivery.

Operate within a

Permit to Work system

in line with company and client health & safety procedures.

Diagnose plant faults and carry out effective repairs to maintain systems in full working order.

Ensure availability of required

spare parts , providing accurate parts lists and estimated completion times for remedial works.

Complete all

paperwork and reporting

for reactive and breakdown tasks accurately and without delay.

Prepare and work from

Method Statements and Risk Assessments

to maintain safe working practices at all times.

Maintain clean and secure plant rooms across all assigned locations.

Ensure full compliance with

health & safety standards , wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to uniform policies.

Maintain and update

computer-based maintenance systems

(e.g. Maximo), ensuring accurate records of PPM and reactive tasks.

Ensure

compliance with all contractual KPIs and SLAs , highlighting and escalating risks or non-compliance when required.

Support safe and compliant use of

Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)

procedures.

Review and monitor building environmental performance using the

BMS system .

Encourage a proactive safety culture by completing and promoting

near miss reports , dynamic risk assessments, and detailed site activity logs.

Carry out any additional tasks as directed by the site management team.
