A well-established facilities maintenance provider is currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to work on a prestigious government contract based in Canary Wharf. This reputable organisation has a strong track record of internal progression and staff retention and is now looking to add an experienced Fabric Engineer from a building services / FM background to their team.

You will be part of the on-site engineering team, delivering a high standard of fabric and building services maintenance.

Package includes:

  • Monday to Friday, Days (08:00 - 17:00)
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Company pension scheme

Key Responsibilities

  • General fabric maintenance
  • Painting, decorating and plastering
  • Carpentry works (skirting, doors, furniture assembly, locks & handles)
  • Replacing doors and ironmongery
  • Basic plumbing works and tap temperature readings
  • Minor mechanical and electrical tasks
  • Emergency lighting checks
  • Replacing lamps and small electrical components
  • Changing filters on AC units
  • Assisting / shadowing M&E engineers on larger works
  • Supporting basic water treatment duties where required

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Strong FM / Building Services background
  • Experience working on commercial or government contracts
  • L8 / Water Hygiene qualification - desirable
  • Client-facing with good communication skills
  • Healthcare or critical-environment experience advantageous
