Are you looking to work with one of Bristol's fastest growing companies who manage insurance for disaster recovery and restoration? Options Resourcing is looking for an energetic Desktop Surveyor to remotely assess and manage the technical works and restoration works after property damage. You will be producing technical assessments of property damage using photos, videos, scopes of work and estimates given to you along with preparing restoration proposals.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and validate property damage claims
- Produce restoration specifications, cost assessment and schedules of work.
- Liaise with clients and contractors to validate scope and coordinate approvals.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and insurance-related requirements including building regulations and planning.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for internal and external audit purposes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Sound knowledge of UK building regulations and restoration techniques.
- Experience working with insurance restoration contractors and repairs networks.
- Familiarity with claims management systems and remote assessment tools.
- Energetic, dynamic, and highly organised with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Capable of balancing quality, cost, and client service in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident decision-maker with a solutions-focused mindset.
Qualifications:
- Degree, HND, or equivalent in Building Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
- Chartered or associate member with RICS, CIOB or equivalent body.
- Familiarity with estimating tools and survey platforms (Xactimate, BCIS).
- Full UK Drivers licence.
