The Role
As Finishing Foreman, you will oversee the final stages of construction, ensuring homes are completed to the highest standards before handover. Working closely with the Site Manager and subcontractors, you will coordinate finishing trades, manage snagging works, and drive quality across the development to ensure plots are delivered on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating all finishing trades on site.
- Carrying out snagging inspections and monitoring defect rectification.
- Ensuring plots are completed to a high standard and ready for handover.
- Maintaining quality control throughout the finishing phase.
- Monitoring health and safety compliance on site.
- Liaising with subcontractors to ensure programme targets are achieved.
- Supporting the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations.
- Maintaining excellent standards of presentation across completed and near-complete plots.
About You
To be considered, you should have:
- Previous experience as a Finishing Foreman, Assistant Site Manager, or similar role within residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of housebuilding and finishing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating trades.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Valid CSCS card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification preferred.
