A well-established precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join their growing machine shop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong HAAS and 5 Axis machining experience to work within a high-quality manufacturing environment.

- Friday: 6:30am - 2:00pm
- 36.5 hours per week
The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components to drawing specifications, ensuring quality standards and production deadlines are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating HAAS 3 Axis and 5 Axis CNC milling machines
- Setting tooling and workholding for production jobs
- Producing components to engineering drawings and quality standards
- Making program adjustments where required
- Changing over jobs, tooling and materials efficiently
- Deburring and cleaning machined components ready for inspection
- Working to production schedules and meeting delivery deadlines
- Supporting continuous improvement in machining processes and efficiency
- Assisting with tooling, stock control and material management
- Completing production paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Maintaining high housekeeping and health & safety standards
Skills/Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar CNC machining role
- Strong experience with HAAS and/or Fanuc controls
- Proven background in 5 Axis machining
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience machining Aluminium, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel
- Experience using cavity and custom form tools
- Good understanding of quality procedures and inspection processes
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Organised, methodical and proactive approach to work
- Experience quoting machining times and component costing
- Knowledge of ISO9001 quality standards
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification
