Are you a skilled M&E Engineer looking for a new challenge with a forward-thinking company?

We\’re working with a well-established and dynamic business that delivers high-quality mechanical, electrical, and renewable services across the South of England. Working with both public and private sector clients from main contractors to commercial, industrial, and large domestic projects they\’re expanding their team and looking for a Multiskilled M&E Engineer to join them.

As a Multiskilled M&E Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of mechanical and electrical systems, while also supporting project commissioning, inspections, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

Benefits

  • Salary: Competitive Β£22-25 per hour based on experience – door to door
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Company vehicle and fuel card
  • Β£250 on call allowance 1 in 4 weeks
  • Company van and fuel card
  • 39 hours per week 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 12pm finish on a Friday – some flexibility needed
  • O/T paid at x1.5 weekdays, double time on weekends and bank holidays

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responding to reactive and planned maintenance, equipment faults, and emergencies.
  • Diagnosing problems, sourcing parts, and carrying out effective repairs
  • Conducting quality checks and ensuring systems are fully operational
  • Supporting mechanical and electrical system commissioning and inspections
  • Planning and managing your workload efficiently to meet client needs
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reports
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Being available for on call

Skills/Experience required

  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or similar
  • 18th Edition Electrical qualification (plus relevant City & Guilds/NVQs)
  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication, IT skills, and professional presentation
  • Plumbing qualification

Desirable but not essential

  • Test & Inspect qualifications
  • Experience supporting commissioning and maintenance strategy design
  • Multi-skilled across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical disciplines
