Mobile Engineering Supervisor (Electrical or Mechanical) – London & South East | £50,000-£52,000 + Benefits | Mon-Thu 08:30-17:00, Fri 08:30-16:00
Responsibilities
- Acting as the Health & Safety lead for sites and engineering teams.
- Serving as an HV/LV Authorised Person (when qualified and on shift).
- Managing the Permit to Work (PTW) and LOTO systems, ensuring compliance with BGIS QHSE procedures and client requirements.
- Overseeing subcontractors: approvals, RAMS compliance, and performance against KPIs/SLA\’s.
- Planning and supervising PPM schedules and reactive works.
- Conducting annual appraisals of shift technicians.
- Keeping the Computer-Based Maintenance System (e.g. Maximo/Concept) updated with accurate data.
- Providing technical support to engineers, helpdesk, and clients.
- Ensuring statutory and code compliance across all sites.
- Managing day engineers and shift team members.
- Maintaining accurate asset registers and site documentation.
- Driving efficient procurement and identifying opportunities for additional works.
Qualifications
- Background in electrical or mechanical engineering (qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of H&S compliance, PTW and LOTO systems.
- Experience as a Supervisor/Lead Engineer in facilities or building services.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence (mobile role).
