We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider, supporting a new aviation maintenance contract across multiple major airport sites throughout the UK.
This is a long-term opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer with strong commercial maintenance experience and a 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
The role
As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of airport sites.
The role will cover:
- Manchester
- East Midlands
- Humberside
- Leeds / Bradford
- Liverpool
- Birmingham
- Newcastle
- Glasgow
- Edinburgh
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be comfortable travelling extensively between sites and managing your own workload.
Key responsibilities
- Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Completing electrical inspection and testing in line with current regulations.
- Carrying out EICRs and other electrical certification where required.
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults safely and efficiently.
- Responding to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements.
- Supporting the wider FM team to ensure critical airport facilities remain operational.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health, safety and compliance requirements.
- Completing maintenance records, reports and certification accurately.
- Working closely with clients, subcontractors and site teams.
- Managing your own workload across multiple locations.
- Participating in a 1-in-5 call-out rota once fully inducted.
Requirements
- Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Strong commercial electrical maintenance experience.
- Proven experience with electrical inspection, testing and fault finding.
- Good knowledge of current electrical regulations.
- Previous FM, commercial, critical environment or aviation experience would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable travelling extensively between multiple sites.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible, reliable and proactive approach.
- Willingness to participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota.
Package
- £45,000 basic salary.
- £125 standby payment.
