Role & Responsibilities:
- Ownership of on-site health and safety activity, including inspections, audits, compliance monitoring, and reporting
- Advise management on safety matters and help implement policy across the site
- Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring preventative measures are in place
- Lead pest inspections, fire audits, alarm testing, and emergency evacuation drills
- Maintain meticulous H&S records including training, events, and drills
- Deliver monthly reports and contribute to daily operational meetings
- Champion best practice and coach others on staying compliant and safe
- Get stuck into project work and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role
- Background in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar environment preferred
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice
- A confident communicator who can challenge and support in equal measure
- Practical, hands-on attitude
