Are you an experienced Health & Safety Manager looking to make a real impact within a rapidly expanding technical services organisation?

Our client is a fast-growing UK technical services business delivering Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Renewables, and Fire & Security solutions across commercial and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead safety, compliance, and best practice across multiple operational businesses.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll work closely with engineers, project teams, supervisors, and senior management to drive a positive safety culture while ensuring compliance across a variety of live projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take ownership of Health & Safety across multiple sites, ensuring legal compliance and supporting operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Health & Safety across multiple live construction and engineering projects.
  • Reviewing and approving RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and permit-to-work documentation.
  • Conducting site inspections, audits and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Investigating incidents, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing preventative actions.
  • Maintaining Health & Safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
  • Delivering toolbox talks, inductions and safety training to operational teams.
  • Managing training records and competency matrices.
  • Supporting ISO management systems and external accreditations including CHAS, Constructionline and Achilles.
  • Driving continuous improvement and promoting a positive safety culture across the business.
  • Supporting internal quality and compliance audits.

Skills/Experience required:

You'll be an experienced Health & Safety professional with a practical approach and the confidence to influence teams at every level. You'll have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Proven Health & Safety experience within Construction, M&E or Building Services.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, permit-to-work systems and confined space regulations.
  • Experience carrying out site audits and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Utilities, Water, Wastewater or MEICA environments.
  • ISO 45001/14001 Internal Auditor qualification.
  • TechIOSH or GradIOSH membership.
  • Experience implementing digital H&S management systems.
