The Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable General Labourer to join a growing building maintenance contractor based in Bolton, working on projects throughout the UK. This General Labourer role will involve supporting roofing teams carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across commercial and industrial sites. The successful General Labourer will be happy travelling nationwide, working outdoors and staying away from home when required. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking General Labourer looking to develop their career within the construction and maintenance industry.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 40-hour working week
- Overtime available
- Nationwide travel required
- Overnight stays required where necessary (accommodation and expenses provided)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist roofing teams with planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Load and unload materials, tools and equipment.
- Prepare work areas before work commences.
- Maintain clean and safe working environments.
- Support roofers during repairs and maintenance works.
- Follow site Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Complete manual handling duties.
- Travel to client sites across the UK.
- Provide support to other trades where required.
Requirements
- Valid Green CSCS Card (essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Previous construction or maintenance experience preferred.
- Happy travelling nationwide and staying away from home.
- Good work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable with good timekeeping.
