An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a leading facilities and building services team based at their prestigious site in EC1Y. We are seeking either an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Manager, with a preference for electrically biased candidates. The successful candidate will have strong building services experience within a corporate, critical, or commercial environment, alongside knowledge of LV/HP and AV infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day engineering operations across the site
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, QA, and building regulations
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure works are completed safely and to standard
- Manage Permit to Work processes and safe systems of work
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Ensure labour and resources are organised for planned works
- Support and manage Shift Leaders and Shift Technicians when required
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Ensure KPI and SLA performance targets are achieved
- Produce reports, technical documentation, and operational updates
- Lead technical meetings and support project delivery across the site
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role
- Mechanical or Electrical background, with electrical bias preferred
- Strong knowledge of building services systems within commercial environments
- LV/HP knowledge essential
- AV systems experience preferred
- Experience managing subcontractors and engineering teams
- Good understanding of compliance, permits, and health & safety procedures
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
