We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering team in Chelmsley Wood. This role is ideal for a multi-skilled machinist with strong programming knowledge and hands-on machining capability across complex, high-precision components.
Key Responsibilities- Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
- Creating, editing, and optimising programs using Fusion 360.
- Machining mild steel with some aluminium, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality surface finishes.
- Managing coolant systems and tool life to maximise machining efficiency.
- Producing components on 3+1 axis and 3+2 axis machinery.
- Conducting first-off inspections and ensuring all parts meet required tolerances.
- Maintaining an organised, safe, and efficient work area.
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator in a precision engineering setting.
- Strong knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
- Confident using Fusion 360 for programming.
- Experience working with mild steel and aluminium.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Competitive hourly rate: £18.00 to £20.00 depending on experience.
- Fixed day shifts: 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm, with an early Friday finish.
