CAD Draughtsperson / Fabrication Design Technician
Salary up to £35,000
Location: Birmingham

You\’ll be part of a collaborative design team working on standard and bespoke fabrication projects, with access to specialist training and clear opportunities for technical progression.
Role Overview
As a Draughtsperson, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs, preparing technical drawings, and supporting production teams throughout the design and manufacturing process. You\’ll work closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality drawings for both standard and custom products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Process design orders and technical data using Excel and internal systems.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to resolve design queries
- Work on a variety of façade, metal fabrication, and sheet metal projects.
- Receive full training and support to continue your professional development.
Hours of Work:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 3:45pm
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years\’ experience in a CAD design or draughting role.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
- Strong ability to interpret technical, construction, or manufacturing drawings.
- Experience in sheet metal development or fabrication design preferred.
- Knowledge of CNC programming software (e.g. RADAN) would be beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work to deadlines
