Our client is a well-established and growing mechanical services company specialising in the new build residential sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plumbing and heating professional who enjoys problem-solving, delivering high levels of customer service, and working independently in occupied residential properties.
The Role
As a Plumbing and Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for attending occupied new build homes to diagnose and carry out remedial works on plumbing and heating systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining the company's reputation for quality workmanship and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer care appointments within occupied new build properties.
- Diagnose and rectify plumbing issues, including repairs and adjustments to sanitaryware, hot water, and cold-water systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults on domestic heating systems, including cylinders, controls, and associated components.
- Carry out boiler and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) servicing, commissioning, and remedial works where required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional approach at all times.
- Complete job reports and documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with office staff, site teams, and housebuilders to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current safety regulations and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience within domestic plumbing and heating systems.
- Experience within the new build housing sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Current ACS qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1 and HTR1 are preferred.
- Knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) is desirable; training can be provided.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
