An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Project Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation within the fire and security sector. Our client is looking for a driven and organised individual with proven experience managing both large and small projects across the UK, delivering high-quality solutions within commercial environments.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge across fire and security systems and the ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing projects from initial handover through to completion and final account, coordinating engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders across a variety of sites nationwide. Project values will typically range from £5,000 to £250,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from sales handover through to completion and final account
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required standards
- Manage project programmes, labour allocation, and installation progress
- Attend client meetings and site visits across the UK
- Produce and maintain project documentation including: Programmes of works, Progress reports, Variations, RAMS, Handover documentation
- Monitor commercial performance and project profitability
- Support operational and compliance requirements where required
Requirements
- Previous experience within the fire and security industry is essential
- Strong knowledge of: Fire alarm systems, Intruder alarm systems, CCTV / VSS systems, Access control systems (desirable)
- Proven ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience managing engineers, subcontractors, and client relationships
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of project margins
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel UK-wide as required
Desirable Experience
- Experience within both service and installation environments
- Knowledge of industry standards including: BS5839, SSAIB / BAFE environments
