We're currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider on a healthcare contract in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer looking for a permanent position offering a great work-life balance with a four-day working week and long weekends every week.

Role Overview:

  • Based on a large healthcare contract in Birmingham
  • Working Monday to Thursday, 12:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and building services systems
  • Working as part of an established maintenance team within a critical environment

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on electrical distribution systems and associated plant
  • Electrical fault finding on lighting, power, emergency lighting, and control circuits
  • Completing minor installation works including replacement of contactors, relays, sensors, motors, and control equipment
  • Supporting HVAC systems from an electrical perspective, including controls and associated components
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with BS7671 regulations and health & safety procedures
  • Completing risk assessments and following safe systems of work
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and job reports
  • Supporting electrical upgrades, refurbishments, and project works when required
  • Monitoring subcontractors and ensuring compliance with site standards and RAMS
  • Responding to breakdowns and ensuring minimal disruption to site operations
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and energy efficiency

What we're looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Essential)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential)
  • AM1 and AM2 qualifications (Desirable)
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (Desirable)
  • IOSH Working Safely or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Experience working within healthcare environments (Desirable)
