August Start Join a Leading Civil Engineering Contractor Delivering Essential Infrastructure An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in Barnstaple.

Our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK.

This is an opportunity to play a key role on a significant project while working within a collaborative and supportive team.

The Role Working closely with Senior Management and the operational team, you will take ownership of the commercial delivery of a live project involving the construction of a new pumping station and rising main.

You will be responsible for ensuring commercial performance, contractual compliance and successful project delivery while identifying opportunities to maximise profitability and minimise risk.

Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial management of allocated contracts from commencement through to completion.

Manage and implement robust commercial processes to optimise project performance.

Produce accurate project forecasts, cost reports and monthly CVRs.

Prepare and submit timely applications for payment while monitoring cash flow and debt recovery.

Manage subcontract procurement, administration and commercial performance.

Ensure effective change management procedures are implemented, including issuing contractual notices.

Identify commercial risks and opportunities, providing strategic advice to operational teams.

Maintain comprehensive commercial records and reporting systems.

Work collaboratively with Senior Management, project teams and clients to achieve successful project outcomes.

Support tender submissions and provide commercial feedback to estimating teams.

Resolve commercial issues and provide guidance to wider team members where required.

Contribute to continuous improvement and wider business objectives.

What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced commercial professional who has a proven track record within civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

You will ideally have: Significant experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor.

Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management processes.

Experience within civil engineering, utilities, water or infrastructure projects.

Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Strong financial reporting and forecasting experience.

The ability to lead commercial activities with minimal supervision.

A proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

What's on Offer £300 £340 per day.

CIS payment available. 10-month contract with an August start.
