Buy Side Associate/VP Opportunity, Leveraged Finance Background.
We have been retained by a $20bn global alternatives fund looking to build out its European platform. This will be an opportunity to join a high calibre team focused on providing alternative financing to investment grade and sub-investment grade European corporates with asset downside protection.
This opportunity will allow the right individual to gain a large amount of exposure and responsibility much earlier in their career than most other private credit or direct lending funds, given a small sub 10 individual investment team.
This position is based in London, UK.
The investment professional would support the investment team in underwriting and executing deals as well as exploring new opportunities and monitoring/surveilling existing portfolio opportunities.
- Experience within a bulge bracket, European investment bank, or leading boutique.
- 3 – 5 years total experience within a leveraged finance or equivalent corporate credit team.
- Relevant experience in underwriting corporate credits.
- International experience working across Europe preferred.
- Preference for a degree in Physics, Maths, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or other with strong record of quantitative course work.
- Strong corporate finance and excel modelling skills.
- Experience with making presentations and investment committee memos/credit papers.
